ENCORE CREW AND PIT BAND APPLICATIONS:
Take some time to review our Encore Handbook with your family. Encore has a history of high-level work, but this can only continue if we all commit to working together. This handbook contains important information about our policies, dates, and current fee structure. If you have questions, please ask a director.
Pit-band candidates, please complete this form as soon as possible. We will send audition scheduling information to those who complete the form. Look for us to hold a round of auditions in May and a second round in the fall. We will let you know what you may need to prepare. Once you complete the form, you are set for now.
Encore Crew candidates, please complete this form as soon as possible. We will send interview scheduling information to those who complete the form. If you are auditioning as a singer/band member and awaiting the results of that audition before committing to the crew, please wait until after auditions to complete the form.
AUDITIONS FOR CLASS CHOIRS
Join the MHS Choir Program — be a part of something special! Our MHS Choirs provide outstanding instruction and experience in vocal performance, aural skills, and sight singing skills. You can sign up for choir at the high school without previous choir experience. If you don’t have choir on your schedule yet, please see your MHS counselor as soon as possible.
The four class choirs at MHS are open to any student, from freshman to senior, regardless of years of experience in music. Men’s Chorale and Women’s Chorale are open to students without a formal audition. Concert Choir and Women’s Chorus classes are auditioned in the spring of the preceding school year. This means that any student in grades 8 through 11 now may audition for Concert Choir and Women’s Chorus this spring, whether or not you are in choir this school year. Auditions will begin the week of May 12 this year.
Often, students underestimate their singing ability. Don’t talk yourself out of auditioning!

AUDITIONS FOR THE MHS ENCORE ENTERTAINMENT COMPANY
Encore is our competition show choir at Medina High School. Membership in Encore is open to students in grades 9 through 12 with an audition. Singers and pit band members will audition in May of the preceding school year, and crew members will interview in spring/summer of the school year.
Encore takes pride in working hard and performing well. Be sure to read the handbook carefully to learn more about policies and fees related to the group. Auditions are around May 18 this year! We are looking forward to hearing your audition!
